Monthly Art Walks

Organized by the Greater Flint Arts Council, the Art Walk is a collaborative effort involving over 20 businesses and cultural organizations in downtown Flint. Held on the second Friday of each month from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., these events showcase local artists and provide a platform for community engagement. Maps are available at the Greater Flint Arts Council, and parking is conveniently located throughout the downtown area.

Flint Institute of Arts

As the second-largest art museum in Michigan, the Flint Institute of Arts (FIA) offers a vast collection of over 8,000 objects, including significant European and American paintings and sculptures. The FIA also provides educational programs, film screenings, and family events, serving more than 160,000 visitors annually.

Flint Cultural Center

The Flint Cultural Center is a 30-acre campus that brings together various institutions dedicated to arts, history, music, and science. Highlights include the Sloan Museum of Discovery, Longway Planetarium, Flint Institute of Music, and The Whiting Auditorium. Thanks to the Genesee County Arts Education & Cultural Enrichment Millage, residents enjoy free general admission to the Sloan Museum and the Flint Institute of Arts, along with discounts for other performances and programs.

Riverbank Arts

Located at 400 N. Saginaw Street, Riverbank Arts is a community-centered space for creatives, community members, and academics to develop and support artistic and cultural production in Flint. The venue hosts various exhibitions and events, providing a platform for local artists to showcase their work and engage with the community.
